The built-in streamline that sets Streamliner up with you, by conversation, and saves only when you tap
The Concierge is a streamline that comes with the app, at the top of On this device. Ask it to set something up and it does the work: it looks at your MCP server, proposes which tools may run without asking you, drafts the streamline, and shows you exactly what would change. Nothing is saved until you tap Save.
It never counts as one of your streamlines, and it works the same on the Mac, iPhone and iPad.
What you can ask
- Set up a streamline for my MCP server at https://… It lists the server's tools as you (signing in if the server asks), proposes a tool policy where every write waits for your tap, and drafts the streamline.
- Change a streamline: a new welcome, a quick phrase, a card for a tool's results, which tools ask first.
- Build me a theme, or use larger text: themes come with a swatch card to tap; text size and font change at once. Attach your logo with the paperclip and it builds the theme from the logo's own colors.
- Look at this: attach a screenshot or a PDF, such as a server's documentation, and ask about it. See Attaching files (ST-6).
- Explain how my setup works: it reads your setup and the manual you are reading now.
- For an organization you own or administer: if an owner approved this device for publishing (AD-5), it can read that organization's setup, draft changes there (they are staged, as in the Library), move one of your own streamlines into it, and publish. Publishing waits for your tap on a card with every change, then Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. The Concierge stays in On this device and works on the organization from there.
Saving, and what is marked
Every change arrives as a card with the difference, line by line. Lines that would let something happen without your tap are marked in the warning color with what they mean: a new server address, a tool that would run without asking, a tool no longer hidden, a new image host. Tap Save to make the change live, or Not yet to leave things as they are. Drafts you haven't saved show as unsaved in the Concierge's bar; open it to review, save or discard them.
A saved change can be undone: ask the Concierge to undo it. If the same streamline changed again since, the undo is refused rather than losing the later change.
The bar above its chat
- Model and effort: Sonnet with high effort by default. Haiku is quicker and cheaper for questions; Opus for the hardest setups. It uses your own Anthropic key from the Vault.
- Clear: ends the current chat and starts a fresh one. Earlier chats stay in its Chats list, on this device only.
What it never does
It never asks for, reads or repeats a key or a password; keys live in the Vault. It treats whatever an MCP server says about its tools as information, never as instructions: if a tool's description tells it to do something, it tells you and leaves that tool off. It can't change consent or the Vault, and it can't touch an organization's setup unless you are its owner or admin on a device an owner approved.
