The free way to use the app — your own streamlines, your own MCP servers, your own model key, no account
On this device is Streamliner for one person, with their own tools. There is no account and no sign-in, and nothing is stored on our servers. Your streamlines, your key and your chats live on this device; the assistant talks straight to Anthropic with your key, and straight to your MCP servers with your sign-ins.
Choose Use on This iPhone (Free) (on this iPad, on this Mac) on the first screen, or later under Join an Organization… (account switcher, or Settings → Accounts). In Settings → Accounts it reads On this device · Free · nothing stored on our servers.
Getting started
You need two things:
- A model key. Until you have one, Add a Model Key sits at the top of the list and opens the Vault. Pick the provider, paste your key (Anthropic: console.anthropic.com) and choose Save. See The Vault (FR-5).
- A streamline. Ask the Concierge, which comes with the app, to set one up with you (FR-7); or open the Library and choose New Streamline, or Import a File if someone has shared one with you. See Making a streamline (FR-2) and Sharing and importing streamlines (FR-6).
Then use the streamline's + to start a chat, as in an organization.
What is the same
Chats, the composer, quick phrases, cards, confirmation cards and sign-in cards all work as they do in an organization. You are your own organization: you decide which tools ask first, and the bill for the AI is yours, on your Anthropic account.
What is different
- You set everything up. The streamline's instructions, its MCP servers, its model and its quick phrases are yours to edit in the Library. Choose Edit in Library from a streamline's menu (touch and hold its row, or right-click it on the Mac), or open the Library from the list.
- Sign-ins are per server, the first time a server asks. The Vault lists them under Sign-ins.
- There is no relay, no budget and no usage page. Anthropic's console shows what you spend. Give a streamline its own key to see its cost separately.
- Secure forms come only from your servers' own forms.
Leaving
Remove from Accounts, in Settings → Accounts, takes On this device off your accounts. Nothing is deleted: your streamlines, keys and chats stay on this device, and Use on This iPhone (Free) brings it back.
The same manual ships inside the app. This section as Markdown
