Sending a streamline to someone else as a file, and adding one someone sent you
A streamline can travel as a single file, so you can give a colleague, or another of your devices, the same setup.
Sharing
Open the streamline in the Library and, at the foot of the editor, choose Share as a file (never keys or sign-ins). You get a file named after the streamline, ending in .streamline.json, to send by AirDrop, Messages, Mail, or save to Files.
The file never contains keys or sign-ins. It carries the streamline's name and look, instructions, model, MCP server addresses with their sign-in type and tool rules, welcome message, quick phrases, and any card designs it came with. Whoever opens it adds their own key and signs in to the servers themselves.
The file does not contain your chats.
Importing
Open the Library, choose Import a File at the end of Streamlines, and pick the file. The streamline appears in your list, ready to use once you have a key.
If the file cannot be read, the app says Couldn't import and why. If some of its card designs cannot be read, the streamline still imports and those tools use simple cards.
What to watch for
- Read the instructions and the tool rules of a file someone sent you before you use it. A tool under Read only runs without a confirmation card.
- The servers in the file decide what you can do once you sign in. Import files only from people and servers you trust.
- Changes you make after importing are yours; they do not go back to whoever sent the file.
To share a streamline without sending a file, use a link instead (Sharing by link, FR-8).
The same manual ships inside the app. This section as Markdown
