Send a bug or an idea from the last row of the sidebar, anonymously unless you add your name
Report an Issue is the last row of the sidebar (the list on the iPhone): it sends a bug or a feature idea straight to the people who make Streamliner.
The app, or your organization
When you belong to an organization, it first asks what the issue is with: The Streamliner app (it goes to us) or your organization's streamlines (for its admins). Reports to an organization's admins arrive in the app once people in an organization can message each other; until then that page says so and offers your organization's support email or page when it has one. Using the app on your own, you go straight to the form. The open chat's reference is attached, so we can find it without any of its content.
Sending one
Choose Bug or Feature, give it a title and say what happened (or what you would like). Your name and email are optional: leave both blank and the report is filed anonymously. You can attach a screenshot by choosing or dragging an image in; it is re-encoded and its hidden details, such as a location, are removed. A short check proves you are a person, then Submit report. The report carries the app's version, your macOS or iOS version and your device's model, and nothing else: never your chats, keys or sign-ins.
What to watch for
- You can leave the page to copy something or take a screenshot: what you wrote, and any screenshot, waits for you until you submit it or choose Discard Draft. Quitting Streamliner discards it.
- If it says reporting isn't switched on yet, this version of Streamliner can't send reports; nothing you typed is sent.
- If the check expires before you submit, it runs again: press Submit report once it has.
- You will not see a link to the report afterwards: it goes to us, not to a public list.
