The Meridian demo is a fictional retailer, Meridian Jewelers, built into the app so you can try a whole working day without an account. Its systems are simulated on your device and its assistant is scripted, so it answers instantly, works offline, and sends nothing anywhere. It never asks for AI consent, because nothing goes to an AI service.

## Who you can be

The demo signs you in as one of three people. Each sees only the streamlines their job allows:

- **Ava Chen**, sales associate: Register.
- **Marco Ruiz**, store manager: Register, Approvals and Receiving.
- **Priya Nair**, receiving at head office: Receiving.

**Switch to Ava, Marco or Priya** right in the account switcher (top of the sidebar or list) changes who you are in one click; **Switch Person** in **Settings → Accounts**, or the Vault's **This session**, does too.

## Things to try

- **A sale.** As Ava, open **Register → New sale**. Tap **Find a customer**, pick one from the card, add a piece, and work through to **Submit the sale**. Watch the ticket build itself in the overview. See The overview (ST-4).
- **An offer that needs a manager.** As Ava, offer less than the tag price. The chat shows **Waiting** and the ticket shows the offer as pending. Switch to Marco, open **Approvals → Review offers**, and counter or approve. Switch back to Ava: a notice tells her what Marco decided.
- **A secure form.** Ask to take a card payment. The demo opens a card form, so you can see how a secret goes past the assistant. See Secure forms and secure views (AS-3).
- **A confirmation.** Submitting a sale stops at a card with the real ticket on it. See Confirmation cards (AS-2).
- **Canceling a job.** Start a sale, add a piece, then choose **Void Sale** in the chat's menu (or **Archive Chat**, which offers it). The ticket is voided and the chat can be archived. Receiving has **Stop Receiving** and Approvals **Leave Undecided**. A sale with a payment recorded can't be voided: the demo's system says so. See Finding, archiving and finishing chats (ST-5).
- **On site only.** Approvals carries an *On site only* mark: in a real organization it works only on store networks. See On site only streamlines (PR-4).

## What is not real

The customers, prices, approval rules and payments are invented. The demo's approval rule is the demo's own; in a real organization, its systems decide.
