Chats stay in the list until you archive or delete them, or until your organization's keeping period removes them from the device. See Where your chats are kept (PR-3).

## Finding a chat

- Each chat is a small card tinted with its streamline's color: its title and time on top, and the last message as a little bubble, on the right if you sent it and on the left if the assistant did, so you can see who spoke last. Two chats with the same automatic title each show the time they began. A number beside a streamline counts the chats that need you: hover over it (or touch and hold) to read *1 chat needs you*, and tap it to open that chat.
- Each streamline lists its **open** chats; finished chats are hidden until you ask. On iPhone and iPad, touch and hold its row for **Show Finished Chats** and **Archive All Finished**. On the Mac, **Chats** beside the card has **Show finished** and **Archive all finished**.
- **Search chats** (the magnifying glass at the top of the iPhone's list), or the search field in **Chats** on the Mac and iPad (⌘F), looks through titles and what was written, finished chats included.

## A chat's title

A new chat's tab says the streamline's label (*New sale*) until it has a name. Then it is named after what it is about: your organization's streamline may name it from the job, and rename it as the job moves on: finding the customer can make it *c-1001 · Sarah Alvarez*, and an offer *Offer O-1004 · $2,400.00* (the latest one wins); otherwise its title is the start of your first message. The assistant never names a chat itself. **Rename…** (in the chat's **•••** menu, or right-click its tab; on an iPhone or iPad press and hold the tab) gives it your own title, which stays; clear it to go back to the automatic one.

## Archive and delete

- **Archive Chat** takes a chat out of the list. Your organization's streamlines keep a chat until its job is done: archiving one that isn't says so, and offers **Cancel Job** when the streamline has a way to cancel a job (*It can't be undone*; the streamline may name it, as the Meridian demo's **Void Sale**, **Stop Receiving** and **Leave Undecided** do), or **Keep It**. Your own streamlines and the Concierge can be archived any time.
- **Delete Chat…** removes a chat from this device, after asking (*It can't be undone*). On iPhone and iPad, touch and hold a row; on the Mac, right-click a chat in **Chats**, or choose **Chat → Delete Chat…** for the chat in front. The same rule as archiving applies: an organization's chat whose job isn't done is kept (with **Cancel Job** when the streamline has one); your own streamlines and the Concierge can be deleted any time. In an organization, deleting a chat from your device does not delete your organization's record of it.

## The chat's menu

- **Rename…**, as above.
- **Copy Chat Reference** copies the chat's reference, which support and your admins use to find it. Report an Issue attaches it for you.
- **Archive Chat**, as above.
- **Delete Chat…**, as above.

## When a job is finished

When your organization's system confirms the job's last step, such as a submitted sale:

- a green banner says what happened (*Sale S-48213 submitted*);
- the chat is marked done and leaves the list of open chats (Show Finished Chats brings it back);
- the composer is replaced by *This job is finished. This chat is read-only.* and a button for the next job.

You can still read a finished chat, copy from its cards and open what they show, but nothing on them acts any more. For anything else about that job, start a new chat.
